There isn't a "+5v" line in most parallel ports (that I know of..). There
are a number of output lines which can be set at 5v and used to provide
power, and that's probably what Connectix did with the QuickCam. I think
the best thing to do (short of a second parallel port) would be to get a
switchbox that switches all 25 lines.
