You might have the wrong type of capacitor. You have a ceramic capacitor, that i don't think work. You need a electrolytic capacitor. They are round small cylindrical canister-looking with 2 leads on it. They are usually black or blue. They also have arrows with negative signs pointing to one of the leads. This end goes to the negative side of the circuit. They also have the value pribnted on the side. it should say 10 uf on it. The leads may be both out of the bottom, or pointing out either end.
