TI-H: $5 parallel link
Yet more on the "parallel link doesn't work" problem...
I'm having some trouble with my parallel link, and I'm looking for
people who have a working model. All of you who don't, please don't take
time to answer this..
Could you people grab a voltmeter and check the voltage from pins 2, 3,
12, and 13 to ground? I was curious as to why my link wasn't working, so
I checked these values on my parallel port. I found that pins 2 and 3
were both about 3.7v above ground (any pin between 18 and 25). I think
that may be why the link isn't working. The calc is probably expecting a
higher voltage than this, something more like 5v. Also, note for me
which direction your diodes are.. Is the black stripe on the end closest
to pins 2 and 3, or 12 and 13?
Anybody who takes the time to respond, please do so by private e-mail..
Thanks!
