To thoose of you planning to replace any sort of surface mount chip on 
your calcs, know this.  Surface mount is very difficult to deal with by 
hand.  But here is a technique that may help you.  Simply cut the Vcc pin 
on the old chip, then solder the new chip right unto the old chip.  Then 
you don't have to worry about taking out the old one.   I know this works 
with DIP, I don't know about SMT.
