Or a Pure Energy station and its 12 AA and 4AAA in one set for $15 CND!
The AAAs , if bought seperately, would only cost $4.99 CND at SuperStore.
The 9Vs are a bad idea since, yes there are many (6) small cells in the
package which last like a third of what AAAs last. AAAs are around 220MAh
for rechageables where 9Vs are probably less than 100MAh. D sized cells,
though, give you a nice 4000MAh and for that you could run your calc
forever!

: Two problems with that theory:
: 1)By cutting the voltage down to 4.5V you are using half the power
: in the calc and wasting the other half in warming up the resistors
: (and your calc,BTW)
: 2)If you crack open a 9V, you will see 6 little dry cells, which
: look a lot like the AAA's the calc uses, only smaller (i.e. low
: capacity)
:
: The real way to save on battery cost is to use the coupon that came
: with your calc and go out and buy a Renewal station so you can
: recharge the batteries that came with (assuming you bought the
: calc recently) I combined the $4 coupon with a $10 rebate offer
: and got mine for $4 plus the tax on the whole thing.
