Excellent Idea, another idea: write a program to use speaker jacks for
output disconnect the link and reconnect it to the microphone port to send.
(two problems, however, 1: the link needs tobe able to send and recieve
simultaneously and 2: the plug is the wrong size)  If you can find a way
around these problems ie splitting the link into two plugs (mic and
speakers) with the TI-port on the other end, this might be possible.  good
luck programming it.
