  If the program you're using supports stereo, it's possible that the link
isn't sitting _completely_ in, even though it's in as far as it goes &
quite tightly - I know I for example had to trim down the plastic a bit to
make it go in all the way & get stereo.  Pardon my grammar/spelling.
