I think the problem is that the graph link is tearing up the inside of the 
port in your calc.  I've jammed the graph link in and yanked it out so many 
times that I have to practically hold the thing in and twist it around while 
it's sending so it can get a good connection.  The regular link that links 
your calc to other calcs does the same thing.  Just so you know, I have an 
83+ too, but I think this applies to all calcs.
