Re: TIB: Editing programs
Well, I've looked into ASM programming a bit.....and I looked right back out
again. ;) It's difficult to understand. And I was BARELY into the basics.
By the way, if you want to view ASM, you need to get a special viewer (you
can find them on ticalc.org under utilities for whatever PC/MAC OS you have).
TI-Graph Link can only view TI-BASIC progs...
And as to ASM v. TI-Basic...I say ASM is better, because in the progs I've
used it can do almost anything....like, say, turn off your calc, deny access,
render your calculator useless (there are bug programs on ticalc.org that
claim that once they are run, they make your calculator useless). ASM is also
faster than even tokenized TI-basic progs.
And also as to locked programs, there's a nifty feature that says it protects
the program you're editing...I dunno if it works, but I have a basic program
that I made that I can't seem to edit on my calc...I'm assuming I tried the
protect button, because I can't remember if I did or didn't...hehe. either
that or it's too big...hehe.
