TIB: RE: TI-89 Solve question
When I type in that exact string, I get x = 0.0000024. In exact, the answer
is x=-13/(10000000*ln(7/12)). I'm using AMS 2.03.

Subject: TIB: TI-89 Solve question
For some reason I when I try to solve this equation:
5=12*(1-e^((-1.3E-6)/x))
For x, using "solve(5=12*(1-e^((-1.3E-6)/x)),x)"
I get x = 0
I think the real answer is something like x = 2.4E-6
I'm in float 12 mode; I get x = 0 for auto or approx. (exact gives an
overflow error)
Any ideas?
