TIB: repeating decimals on the TI-89
I know this is not really programming related but it's a valid question
non-the-less. Is there a way to evaluate repeating decimals on the TI-89?
On the '82-'86 one could simply type the decimal in for several places and
use the fractional converter thing. For example, ".333333333333333333 Frac"
would result in "1/3". I don't know of a Frac function in the TI-89. This
calculator seems too accurate to do this sort of thing. My efforts have
resulted in either .33333333333333 or 33333333333333/10000000000000000.
I've only had my TI-89 for a few days so maybe I'm just ignorant. Any
suggestions would be much appreciated.
