Re: Converting temp units

You have to use the tmpCnv( function.  There is no easy way to use this, and for some reason TI doesn't enable just using x _K>_F (that little arrow thing, not greater than).  They say it's because temp units are different than others, which makes sense, but with the advanced software on the 89 it seems like it would work.  This is one of only two things about which I like my 86 better than my 89 (other being Oct conversions, which the 89 doesn't have, but I don't use them much anyway).

Subject: Converting temp units

I usually construct custom menus for my classes on my 89. A class that I
am taking right now deals with converting _W/_m_K to _Btu/_hr_ft_F. The
89 seems to have trouble converting this and I suspect it is because of
the temp units. Does anyone know of a work around for this? I would like
to be able to have the conversion in a custom menu.

Thanks,
John
