When I use the LU function on my 89, the matrix I designate for the U and L
differs from what I come up with by doing it by hand. Is there a connection
between the two? The matrix I ran into this problem with is
[2,1,5;-8,-1,-21;4,5,4]. By hand I get L=[1,0,0;-4,1,0;2,1,1], and
U=[2,1,5;0,3,-1;0,0,-5]. The 89 returns L=[1,0,0;-1/2,1,0;-1/4,1/6,1] and
U=[-8,-1,-21;0,9/2,-13/2;0,0,5/6]. Any ideas?
