Trigonometric Equations
y=sin@=-.5
if you figure this out you will get
solution set of [7pie/6,11pie/6]
general solution set [7pie/6+2npie,11pie/6+2npie]
now if you use the calculator to solve @
solve(sin(@)=-1/2,@)
@=2*[@]n42*n=7pie/6 or @=2*[@]n42*pie-pie/6
i am sure the calculator is correct ? however how would you interperet this
information ? also what is the symbol that the calculator writes down [@]
infinite series ? ? ? Furthermore are there ti programs to calculate these
equations.
