Re: TI-83 Assembly crisis
Goto ticalc.org, click on Archives, click on File Archives, select Access
via Web, open the directory Mac, and at the top of the list there sould be
an Assembly Utilities directory. At least, its that way in the Win, DOS, and
Linux menus.
I don't think there is a good IDE for the mac, and the on calc IDE, ZAC,
leaves too much to be disired. So youre probably stuck with a compiler and
your text editor. Also, check for a good emulator for the mac, as it is
easier to revive the emulator when things go wrong. (you WILL crash your
calc repeatedly learning asm) For the emu, you will need a ROM dump (i
assume you have a graph link or somthing close). Virtual TI does this
itself, but that's Win only isn't it? I don't know of any mac ROM dumpers,
but there must be some out there. If they are, 99.9% of the time, ticalc has
'em.

PS
This is the process of learning asm:
Read a lot of FAQs and tutorials
type
compile
get an error
type
compile
crash your calc
type
compile
crash
..........
type
compile
crash
start at space for an hour
compile
run
celebrate and pass out in success.
Don't mean to discourage you, it IS worth it! Good luck!!
