Well, he's not technically government.  The Federal Reserve Board, of
which Greenspan is chairman, is a private entity, established and overseen
by congress to establish banking policy (which bubbles down into the rest
of the economy).  This being a (mostly) pure capitalist state, the Fed is
intentionally not governement so that it has more freedome to make
decisions based on what it looks like the economy is doing rather than
what the latest TV news poll suggestes that the misinformed masses think
ought to happen.

But what the heck does this have to do with TI calculators?  Both involve
numbers?
