Good point. I don't think that anyone who hasn't finished Algebra I should have
anything more than a TI-30X (to do simple arithmetic quickly). And then, I
don't think anyone who hasn't finished Calc I should have anything more than a
TI-86. I have a TI-92+, and I'm darn glad I only recently got it. I've seen
how others who've had 92+s since Algebra I have gone through this process of
"dumbening": they can't do algebra without their 92+. Skills should be mastered
before a calculator can do them faster for them. Having an 89 in Algebra I...
it's not good.
