I was so glad to hear that there is a method of sending an E-mail to a group
of TI experts.  I bought a brand new TI-86 in June, and just yesterday, I
was linked to an 85.  I was getting some matrices when the calculator's
screen displayed a bunch of weird stuff and then froze.  In despiration I
just yanked out the batteries, becuase that thing was not turnin' off.
After installing new batteries the calculator would not turn on.  I tried to
darken the screen, nope.  I put in brand new batteries, nope.  I took out
and put back in the round back up battery, nope.  I have no other routes to
fix this thing, and I am not about to buy a new one.  I really need this
calculator for my AP Calculus, and AP Chemistry class.  DO any of you have
any great suggestions?  Thank you so much.
