There isn't an online manual for the TI-85 at www.ti.com , but you could
look at the 86 manual(a lot of things are the same).  This is at:
http://www.ti.com/calc/docs/86guide.htm
To do cube roots, press [2nd] [MATH] [F5] [MORE] [F4] (which should select
the x-sqrt thing)  The format is
[root number]x-sqrt[number]

3 x-sqrt 8 will return 2 for example.  Hope this helps...
