That is not going to do much - something is obviously wrong with his
calculator.
Here is what I would try-
1. Take out 4 AAA batteries, press on about 15 times, reinsert, and try
to turn on.
2. If that doesn't work, take out the 4 AAA's, and the button battery.
Let sit for about 15 minutes. Reinsert 4 AAA's and turn on.
3. If that doesn't work, it is obviously defective or has died :(
Was your son using any ASM games by the way?
