Mailarchives (86 to 85)

An easy question: I'm new to these calculators (Needed one for a college course), and I want to know why I can't send programs to a TI-85 from my -86. I played around with that for a few minutes with a coworker's 85, and learned that only variables can be sent. (Being involved with computers for so long, I figure it should be able to send a file (even if the commands aren't valid in the other calc) for viewing & (if necessary) editing).
