Step function

Hi,
        I'm curious as to how to program a step function on the 86 or 82
calculators. My "formula" is shown here:

                In/ Out
                1    1
                2    2
                3    3
                4    5
                5    8

The pattern being that you add up the two previous Out numbers to find the
solution to the next Out: 1+2=3+2=5 and so on.....
        Is there any way to write a program that will do this? Will sigma notation
cover this?
