in order:

just like normal basic programs
proshell is the best right now, IMHO
no, you dont have to
libraries need to be in the 'main' folder
not if you want programs to be able to use them
those programs are newer (or older) than the library you are using.  you
need to download plusshell 1.0a and us the CONVERT.BAT batch file to
convert all of your .89z files to the newer format.
