Make sure the xscl and yscl are about 1/10 or less than the xmin, xmax,
ymin, and ymax values.

For example if xmin=-.1 and xmax=.1 and xscl=1 then the x ticks will not appear.
If on the other hand xmin=-.1 and xmax=.1 and xscl=.01 they will appear.
