Fargo Backups ??

I have downloaded the new Fargo from ticalc.org, but something about the
pre-installed backups is not clear to me. What is the difference between
'Internal' and 'External' ROM versions. I own a calc with ROM version
1.12, and it therefore is not clear to me which backup to use.
