You can charge people for your programs, but the second that one person
buys it, they will give it to everyone else. I think that it is a
general agreement between programmers that everything that we write is
given for free. Legally, you can charge and copyright a program, but
since there is such a limited syntax, a person can change a few lines
here and there and legally get away with calling it there own. I've had
a thought like this cross my mind as well, especially when I see a
program that I wrote with someone else's name, but that just goes with
the job! Write programs for yourself, be honored when everyone else
wants to use them! BTW, it would probably cost you more to make sure
that people aren't messing with your programs than you would make!
