More to the point of the origional question, yes, a chess has been made.
There was a BASIC TI-83 chess that was made (but it's really good, don't go
by "Basic"), called "Monkey Chess". There is an 85 version, and you can run
that on 86 too. I'm not sure about 82/92, but I dont think there is any.
