i also have an 85.. and have a 3 week old ti86.. i'm very happy..
you could have gone to www.ti.com and look at the comparision chart.. but
here i'll write it..
86 does multiple graph styles
slope and direction fileds
RK & euler methods
list of inital values
function evaluation table
stored column formulas
traceable scatter plats and histograms
traceable box and whisker
regression models is 9 (85 is 7)
logistic ans sine regression models
deep recall (to to 10 or more) (85 does only one)
built in asm
put ANYTHING in the custom menu.. (vars..programs..)
better list and matrix editor (the 85's suck)
better looking screen
looks better (like the 83)
manual is kinda messed up (loooks stupid.. has about 2 errors)
3x memory.
if you really want all those get it.. or a 92
