Alright, this is the last straw for me. I am going to type this in clear,
short, uppercase words.

It's plain common sense. That picture was 300K, almost a third of a
megabyte. There are about 400 subscribers to this list, last time I checked,
there are undoubtable more now. Lets see, that's 121.413 MEGABYTES going
through the net. People wonder WHY the net is slowing down?

That's not counting the newsfeeds. I'm not going to try to estimate how
many usenet servers carry this list, but if we go with 3000, that's another
GIGABYTE of disk space and bandwidth wasted. That's not counting the
bandwidth used by people who downloaded the picture from the server, either.

By not it shouldn't be hard for people to figure out that posting large
things to mailing lists is, in small, simple words, very very bad, and you
should not do it. No matter what.

Here are some alternatives for next time:

1. Post it to a web page, and just mail the URL. If you don't have a web
page, go to www.geocities.com.

2. Write up an ascii diagram.

3. Figure out the @#$ problem yourself.

(Sorry for sounding heartless, but I'm fed up with net abuse, lamers, etc. I
also just had by braces tightened.)
