A, B, and C in greek are Alpha, Beta, Gamma.
Alpha versions are very early, just the basic idea, has many bugs. (Usually
denoted as versions 0.01-0.49)
Beta versions are a little better, fewer bugs (Usually versions 0.50-0.99)
Gamma versions are completed versions, little or no bugs, ready for
release. This term is rarely used as a gamma version is a completed
version, so it is just called the first release version (version 1.0 and
higher).
