Something I have wanted for a while now is a good equation solver. Yes,
I know there is a solve function under the math menu, but you have to set
the equation equal to zero, and even then it doesn't use whole numbers.
What I want is a function to be able to enter the equation "2X+3Y=13",
and have the calc tell me that X=2, and Y=3. Right now I have to enter
"2X+3Y-13", and I get 6.5 for X, and 0 for Y. I realize that normally
there is an infinite number of answers, but there should only be one
answer when using whole numbers. Something else I would like is a FOIL
solver, that one always has me searching for notes. Yes, I also realize
that these will seem incredibly simple to you, but I bought my calc in
hopes of being able to do this kind of stuff without wading through a
pile of notes for half an hour. I figured if I bought an advanced calc,
it should have no problem doing this simpler stuff. Unfortunelty, I was
wrong. A couple said that HP's can do this, but most of the people in my
classes had TI-82's or 83's, so that's why I bought a 82. I know about
the 92, but I cannot spend that much on a calc, unless someone has one
real cheap, like maybe it has a broken link port or something. I don't
play many games, so this would be perfect.
