Re: Fw: Proposed open operating system/gui/shell (CalcOS-82,83,85,86)
I didn't read all of Dines reply, so forgive me if I restate something.
The way I see it is that we dont need a universal OS. Don't we
nearly already have that. What we need is A GOOD, WORKING, MULTIPLATFORM
COMPILER. (email me if you know of any) It should have a library of asm
& basic for each calculator, along w/programming rules. You load in a
program, and pick the source & destination calcs. It then translates the
program, and loads it into an emulator where you can emulate any calc &
rom version. This would be far more beneficial than a univ.OS. Email me
if you want to know more in-depth about my ideas. I will probably write
this in a formal text file next week sometime.
