well then.. the TI83 has BUILT in solver.. it's not as easy to use as the
ti85/86.. but it does work.. either read the manual (i don't have a
ti83).. under something like  SOLVE( OR SOLVER(   btw.. the SOLVE( OR
SOLVER( is in the catalog on the ti83..
