I think that is a great idea, although I sorta like typing in the
hexadecimal numbers for assembler(hehe).  What I think would be even
better would be a pascal or C compiler on the calculator.  I know you
can get a C compiler for compiling on the HP but I haven't seen
anything like it beside your idea of HAL-IC for the TI.  Pascal and C
and more structured and easier to read but also would be slower.  It
would also take up a lot of RAM of the TI.  You could even add in
assembler support in pascal or C.  I'm not saying I'll do this but I
could be persuaded if there is some interest other than me.  I'd
also like to beta test HAL-IC when it is ready for that.
