Thanks, everyone.  I didn't  expect so many responses.  I tried sending
the BASIC games to my calc (empty at the time) then ASH, then the games,
amd it all worked fine.  If I ever have the problem again, I'll try
storing 1 to rand.  I didn't know it was a "variable".  I don't believe
the game uses variable Q, but I believe that you thought of Oshell or
OS-82, whatever the name is.
