Has anyone thought of rigging one of those cheap voice-memo organisers (Like the
Memo mate) with an old, spliced calc-to-calc cable? It can't play and record at
the same time, so it'd be easy to rig, just do a double attachment (and it holds
128k).  You've just got to keep a list of the order things are stored in. One
with forward and back buttons and voice activation would be even better.  That
way, the recorded space would be exactly as long as the data.  But the best part
of this is that if you get the bps sync'ed, the data would be a whole lot more
effcient than this tape-85 stuff.
