Hi,

i'm in a course of hidraulic and i need to solve a implicit equation
(White Colebrook), and i use the Derive software because with the solve
function of the calculator is not able to solve it. But with these
derive function still really slow. Did anybody know a good and fast
solver for implicit equations and nonlinear system equations?. I don't
know why is a lot more slow than the HP48.

If you want to try tese is the equation

1/sqrt(f)=-2log(k/(3.715D) + 2,51/(Re*sqrt(f)))

and i solve it for f.
 and the values for the other varaibles they can be:

k=2E-5
d=.25
re=3E5
