Ash 3.0 Has been released !
I have just released Ash 3.0, and it can be found on The Ash Homepage
(http://www.gbar.dtu.dk/~c958362/ash/). It has not yet been uploaded to
ticalc.org, but that should happen soon too. I have chaged All the programs
i have released so that they work with Ash 3.0, and the programs (including
the source) can be found on The Ash Hompage too.
So what is new?
Lots of things. The most important one is Simpel Relocation, which makes
programs for Ash 3.0 smaller faster and easier to make. Besides that varius
things have been changed as a result of the Ash 3.0 poll. It is now also
possible to start programs using the PRGM command (like BASIC programs).
Check out all this and more, by downloading Ash 3.0.
So how big is Ash 3.0?
Even though all these things have been added Ash 3.0 is only 999 bytes ! And
you also have to remember that programs written for Ash 3.0 will normally be
smaller than "normal" programs. As an exampel, colums 3.0 got 640 bytes
smaller just by converting it to Ash 3.0.
What about programs written for Ash 1.x and 2.0 ?
All programs written for the earlier versions of Ash has to be recompiled,
but the Ash 3.0 zip file includes a special header file which makes it very
easy to do the conversion. Also i will be glad to help anyone convert
programs to Ash 3.0, if you have problems doing it.
How do I learn to program for Ash ?
If you have programed for Ash before you should find all thye information
you need in the included docs. If you have not programed for Ash before
Jimmy Mårdells Ash School might be what you need. The school has not open
yet, but the first lessons should be availble withina few days.
