The TI-86, due to the larger memory, has its memory split into 16K chunks. At
any one time, two of them are active and can be accessed. Because the TI-86
has to access many pages frequently, it has routines in its ROM to manage the
flipping of the pages, which can get complicated. This takes time and slows
down math operations and BASIC programs.

I remember reading a thread about the TI 86 being slower than the TI 85.
The reason given had something to do with the way the TI 86 used its
additional RAM.  Can someone give me the details on this.
