Why can't HAL save?

For some strange reason, my copy of SuperHAL refuses to save files.

When I select Save or Save As from the File menu, and select a destination
& filename for my project, nothing happens.

When I close the program and it asks me to save it, and I go through the
same routine as choosing Save As from the File menu, nothing happens.

Anyone noticed this?

I'm using Windows 95 OEM2 to run SuperHAL. I tried going back to Windows
3.1 to see if that would solve the problem, but then I found out that my
system seems to be too new for those six-year-old hardware drivers which
come with Windows 3.1. None of them work properly with my emulated PC.

At times like this I wish that there was a DOS version of SuperHAL...
