Of course it's a vital piece. The software *won't run* without it. Sounds
vital to me.

I think you are confusing the fact that it is exxtremely vital with the fact
that most people already have the file. Most computers have a BIOS, but that
doesn't make it any less vital to the computer's operation.

As for "HOW UNINTELLIGENT ARE YOU?!?!?", try being polite and not yelling.
