In fact the server was down. If you'd like proof, e-mail IRC@AOL.COM and ask.
I talked with him and he told me exactly what Retupmoc7 (creater of HAL) told
the list. America OnLine was moving some server equipment as a part of the
system upgrades they've been doing the last few days. America OnLine's EFnet
server was down from 4:45pm EDT on Thursday to 6:00am the next morning. Four
times during the down time, they brought it back on line for a few minutes to
test new equipment.

Where do you get your information and why would you say something like that
anyway?
