Actually, its called order of operations... negation is taken fifth,
conversions (a function entered after the argument) first. So,
-40 F>C is interpreted as
-(40 F>C)...
you need to do
(-40) F>C
to have it work properly...
Check the TI-85 manual, page 1-8 for more information...
