Believe me, the TI-85 is not "just a calc" nor is it just a calc for
"programmers"! It's the most powerful calc around besides the TI-92, and
the HP's are just plain wierd to work with. I would consider refunding for
a TI-85 (which, in Canada anyways, it's cheaper than the TI-83, I dunno Y).
Though the TI-83 has potential, the TI-85 has already established its
ground in assembly programming and basic subroutines. Its graphical
analysis are also more accurate in perception (a larger display than the
TI-83 results in higher resolution) and has functions such as the
polynomial solver and the equation solver. This is definitely the calc to
get, and I'm happy with mine (though I did wish I ALSO had a TI-92!)!
Think it over!

: Should I return it and get a 85, or is the 85 just good for programmers?
