I won't flame, but I can't say I agree.
I'm an 82 user, and the 83 is -not- exaclty the same with more great
stuff, actually.
If you do get down to 82 or 83, consider whether or not your classmates
will be using the 82 (83 can only send L1-L6 to an 82, so you wouldn't be
able to exchange things with friends) or 83, consider assembly (on the
83), but... don't believe its exactly the same.
