You have to make sure that COM ports that you are using have different IRQ
address, you can't use both COM1 and COM3 or COM2 and COM4 at same time
because they share same IRQ address. So if your modem connected to COM1 or
COM3 graphlink has to be connected to COM2 or COM4.
