Warranty Duration and Coverage
=======================
Your TI-92 is covered by a one year warranty based upon the date of
purchase.
It is warranted against defective materials or workmanship. This warranty is
void if the product has been damaged by accident, unreasonable use, neglect,
improper service, or other causes not arising from defects in material or
workmanship.
Warranty Status
=======================
For this repair, your unit will be covered under warranty. Please send a
copy
of this e-mail to verify the warranty status I have given you. For a unit
covered under the warranty period, no charge is made for service. However,
if
your unit is out of warranty for any reason, there will be a service charge
of
$100.00 plus shipping and handling and any applicable local taxes.
Returning Your TI-92
=======================
Your unit will be replaced with the same or comparable reconditioned model
(at
TI's option) when it is returned, postage prepaid, to our service facility.
COD
shipments cannot be accepted.
The replacement will be in warranty for the remainder of the original
warranty
period, or for six months, whichever is longer.
TI cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage during incoming shipment.
***For your protection, we recommend that you carefully package your
calculator
and insure it with your carrier.***
Please include the following:
* The TI-92 only. Do not include manuals, data cables, etc.
* A short note describing the problem you experienced. Include a complete
return
address and daytime phone number.
* A check or money order if you know the service charge. (Call
1-800-TI-CARES

OR
A copy of the original receipt for a unit covered under the warranty period.
* A copy of this e-mail as proof of the service charge I have quoted to you.
If you want to keep any data or programs that are stored on your calculator
that
you are returning to TI (whether in or out or warranty) then you must create
and
keep your own backup copies on another graphing calculator or with TI-Graph

replacement unit, but we cannot guarantee that this will work.
Repair cycle time is approximately four to six weeks.
