Re: A92: ti-92 encode
{{All this stuff you're talking about already exists.}}
ok...that's why i asked...if there was a place to get it. wow, you're
like a damn genius.
{{It really gets to be a pain when a newbie comes in complaining that
everything is hard to do.}}
am i complaining? i'm just playing around (unless i get really
depressed and go off on you guys, which i in turn apologize).
{{There is a doc telling you what the TI-BASIC programs are tokenized
to, though you don't need to go through the mem and try to read the
tokens...there's not much of a reason, just use the program editor.}}
i don't want to know the tokenization to know the libraries, i wanted
the tokens so i can reenact the ti-92 on a pc like an emulator, i guess
you didn't read that part, I forgive you.
{{There are programs that list libraries. Tim Gerla had one for Fargo I
called liblist, I don't know if it exists for Fargo II. PC Tools 98
will list libraries for you.}}
why thank you, i knew there was a program that tells what files need
what libraries, but why should i spend my time running a program,
searching my files (about 1,000,000 of them) for the file i downloaded
(i get sidetracked, and memory lapses sometimes) when the author could
just put in his readme.txt (which he's already going to be putting in it
anyways) the libraries.
{{If a program requires strange libaries, usually is will tell you in
the docs.}}
wow...didn't see that coming...hmmmm, i guess i just don't know how to
look stuff up and read.
{{Anyway, the list of tokens is in a file called files.txt, which is
somewhere on ticalc.org, I think.}}
thanks for finally getting to the answer i was looking for.
{{Now...to all newbies: Please put some effort in yourself.}}
i guess going to the ticalc.org and downloading all the files there,
reading them, and forgetting where you put it and not wanting to go and
re-download it when we can ask you guys what the files' name is and just
use windows File Finder program to find it? hmmm, i guess we don't put
ANY effort in at all...oh wait, are you talking about web-newbie or this
list newbie?
{{Don't come to us the second you have any problem.}}
i thought these boards were for help on ti-92 no matter what the body
has in it, as long as it deals with ti-92.
{{This list is for discussing TI-92 assembly programming and such, not
for teaching newbies how to program.}}
hmmmmm, didn't your mom teach you any manners, or respect, or maybe the
thought that "making others happy makes you happy"? (weird...i'm being
hypocritical (i think that's how you spell it))
{{If you look for info on ticalc.org, in program docs, and in the fargo
docs and can't find it, then ask.}}
oh...well, good thing that's what i did.
{{However, very often info you ask for is in one of those places.}}
well the info i asked for i got from here, so i think i'll keep up what
i've been doing.
{{Then you say that it's too much of a pain to find.}}
i never said that, i've been here for like 3 weeks and never seen it.
{{If you look though, you will almost always find out something else
that you didn't know along the way, which will help in the future.}}
another great sentence from "one who speaks many words the same" or in
english "repeater"
{{I read through the new parts of the docs every time a new version of
fargo comes out, they are very helpful. You're not going to convince me
that your time is more aluable than mine, though I know in previous
emails you have tried that. Just put some effort in yourself, and you
will get a much more positive response from list members.}}
thanks for the help (what little you gave). i don't consider myself a
"newbie" because i've been here for 3 weeks and read all the messages
before saying one word like 2 weeks ago (or was it 1...i don't
know...memory lapse), anyway, i saw nothing i needed, so i ASKED. and
when i say i "saw" i mean i actually went up to that "location" thing
and put http://www.ticalc.org and also http://www.webcrawler.com to
search for the stuff.
