This isn't quite true. While pressing "R" in the remote mode does close
the calc off to keypad input and sets it to accept input from the port. It
is
possible to take a battery out and still retain the memory. Just a
minor error I thought I'd correct.
BTW, I take no credit for this info, I learned it from David Ellsworths
text on TI-85/92 bugs. If you've got questions ask him.
