A92: Keyboard for the TI-92?!

Some time ago, I had the idea, of connecting a normal PC-keyboard
with the TI-92. (I hate this awful small integrated keyboard, that can't

be used for 10-finger-writing) Now when I read the things about EII and
the TI-92 booting from network... I thought, that perhaps someone of
you knows more than me about the TI-92's link-port.
My idea was the following: The keyboard of the computer uses a
synchronized serial link. By the direct control of the link port, it
should
be possible, to simulate the synchronization wire, and to read the
keyboard
by the data wire (luckily the TI-92 has to wires that can be read and
written)
if this is successful, it would be easy, to install a little new
keyboard driver
into the top-of-memory.
However, I didn't tried it yet. One reason is, that I don't know,
whether
there are differences between the voltage of the Keyboard-port and the
TI-92 port (I don't want to destroy my TI-92's link-port), another
reason
is, that I haven't got an own keyboard yet. (I hope, to get a
ergo-keyboard,
than I will be able to use the old keyboard for experiments)

If anyone of you tried this yet, or has some information about how the
keyboard
works, please tell me. (e.g. I don't know, whether the keyboard or the
PC controls
the synchronization wire)
